Welcome to our pre-season/tryouts page
We want talented and motivated players who want to move on to the next level of
hockey whether that be higher levels of Junior hockey , University / College
hockey etc. From our perspective, we want to work with you if you’re fit,
talented, dedicated and motivated.
Each year typically more than 50% of the players move on one way or
the other. Opportunities exist for all players registering, no roster spots are
committed to any one and it’s up to the player to show himself.
We play in one of the strongest divisions in the league, the Metro Division. The
majority of our schedule has us playing power houses like Ottawa West, Ottawa
Canadian, Gatineau Mustangs and Clarence Beavers. It’s not a surprise that Metro
has many Championship wins.
This year’s pre-season events are open to players from 15 to 21 and include:

The fee per event is $120.00 CDN.

Players currently carded
with other junior teams in the ODHA must have permission to participate in these
events from their team.
The Jets are charging a reasonable fee to all players signing cards in mid
September. In
lieu of the fee, sponsorships in the equivalent amount will be accepted. This
fee must be paid at card signing. If an offsetting sponsorship arrives from you
later in the year you will receive an appropriate refund.
The Jets do not supply
equipment, pay players or pay for billeting.
During all Camps and Tryouts,
players have the option of wearing C.S.A. approved half-visors; the wearing the
half-visor is a voluntary option on the player’s part, All players wearing a
half-visor shall use a colored mouth guard. If half visors are not used, full
visors must be used.
All players must wear throat
protectors and minor aged players must wear
full facial protection.
